Open A Bar 2 Ranch, LLC is a family-owned, local beef operation. Our goal is to provide an alternative source of beef to the discriminating consumer. For high quality and flavor our cattle are pastured raised, grass-fed and corn finished to perfection. We retain ownership and records on our cattle from birth until packaging. This gives us total control over the quality of our meat and what goes into it.

  • No artificial ingredients
  • Minimally processed

Our beef is raised the old fashioned way, meaning no growth hormones, no steroids and especially no feed antibiotics. In raising these cattle this way, we feel comfortable and at ease that we are providing you with the best, most healthy beef. Many people are concerned how and where their food is raised and processed, you can place your trust in us. Humane treatment of all cattle in our program is always a top priority.

We sell our beef by the whole, half or split half (quarter). Buying a beef in this manner is more economical than buying it per cut. There is also the convenience factor of always having beef at your disposal. We also have a limited supply of USDA steaks, roasts, lean ground beef, stew meat and liver for sale.

The most frequently asked question we get is "how much does a 1/2 beef weigh?" That question is hard to answer since we raise a cross breed with Angus and Lowline cattle. A purebred Lowline will weigh less than a 1/2 blood Angus/Lowline. Since we have a variety of purebred, half bloods, and 3/4 bloods we can offer a variety of sizes depending on the customer's need. (Hanging carcass weight)

Includes: beef and processing

(Average size 1/2 beef ranges from 150-300 lbs/hanging carcass weight. Loss from bones, fat, etc. approximately 30% of carcass weight. Package take-home-weight on 1/2 beef, average size approximately 105-210 lbs.)

A Non-refundable $100.00 deposit is required on all orders.
